The inaugural season of Summit Players Theatre centered on a production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, one of Shakespeare's most magical comedies. Featuring four mixed-up young lovers from the court of Athens, meddling fairies and magical hijinks, a group of amateur actors preparing to perform a play, and a Duke getting married, this play is all fun and games until someone ends up with a donkey head. Over 1,000 audience members joined us for this fantastically funny first show (and over 150 participants learned from the related workshop). Not bad for our first time out.
