Summit Players Theatre is a
2022 Pay Equity Standards Certified Organization!
Summit Players Theatre adheres to a policy of pay equity and commits to compensating all employees fairly and without discrimination. The organization follows the standards created for Pay Equity by On Our Team. Position salaries will be posted as part of any open position descriptions.
Additionally, Summit Players Theatre commits to:

Establishing and maintaining pay equity through a transparent, board-led process as described by The Pay Equity Standards regarding Transparency, Accountability, and Working Conditions & Pay Practices.

Clearly disclosing the company’s budget and all employee pay rates to workers prior to requiring them to sign contracts.

Having no unpaid internships.

Paying workers on time.

Continue paying all touring company members and production designers at a pay rate that is in line with a living wage in our southeastern Wisconsin (calculated by the MIT Living Wage Calculator).

Paying all administrative employees at a pay rate that is in line with the federal minimum wage by the year 2024 in accordance with our 3 year plan to minimum wages, and to provide annual public updates on progress.

Paying all administrative employees at a pay rate that is in line with a living wage in our southeastern Wisconsin (calculated by the MIT Living Wage Calculator) by the year 2027 in accordance with our 5 year plan to living wages, and to provide annual public updates on progress.

Matching pay rates for union and non-union workers within the same role or commensurate roles within a production.

Scheduling work within a 40 hour work week to the greatest extent possible.

Guaranteeing a minimum number of hours worked per week and a minimum weekly pay in all seasonal employee contracts to give employees a sense of the anticipated time commitment of guaranteed work.

Providing funds up front for any and all supplies needed within the production or supplies budget. Arts workers will not use their own funds or credit for acquiring items needed within the production budget.

Providing equitable labor support for workers.

The above policy was adopted by the Summit Players Theatre Board of Directors on April 3, 2022.
As stated above, all touring company members and production designers are currently paid at a rate that is in line with a living wage in our southeastern Wisconsin (calculated by the MIT Living Wage Calculator).
Administrative employees for Summit Players Theatre, including the Executive Director, Parks Liaison and Education Director are currently not compensated for their administrative responsibilities.
