Summit Players Theatre's most recent production was ROMEO AND JULIET, one of William Shakespeare's most famous plays. We brought this timeless tale of love and loss to a larger audience than ever before in the summer of 2019.
What makes ROMEO AND JULIET such a timeless play, one which many students read in school? Artistic Associate Nadja Simmonds and guest artist David Cecsarini take a closer look.
David's professional theatre debut was played out with the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis as a journeyman actor in 1978. From 1980-86, he worked his formative years as an original company member of the American Players Theatre in Spring Green WI. During his thirty-plus year Milwaukee residency, he has acted with many of its professional companies, including the Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, Skylight, Next Act and the Milwaukee Rep. David has proudly served as Producing Artistic Director for Milwaukee's Next Act Theatre for 28 years. He is a member of Actors' Equity Association.
